Getting to the boat

Mistral is docked at the Berkeley marina dock N slip 106. 

Using a mapp application drive to 1 seawall drive berkeley California (park at the end to the parking lot (opposite end to the yacht club))

Here I give information on how to join us at the Berkeley marina. if you know the Berkeley Marina, park at the Berkeley Yacht Club parking lot (free for the day) and the N gate is at the south end of the lot. from the gate call me so I can come get you. 

Recently the Berkeley marina has a few security issues with Car break-ins and theft. while this seems now under control it is recommended not to tempt anyone by not leaving any valuables in your car.

Driving Directions to the Marina

From  South 580 or 80: Take Interstate 80 to Powell St. take a left under the freeway and right onto Frontage Rd. Follow Frontage Rd. to University Ave Seabreeze Market is on the corner. Take a left onto University and follow the directions for parking below.

From North : Take Interstate 80 and get off at the University Avenue exit in Berkeley. Take a left  onto University toward the Bay follow the directions for parking below. 

From South 880: Take the University Ave. exit and the lower ramp that goes under the freeway. Take a right at the first intersection (Hearst) go up Hearst to 6th St. (light) take a right onto 6th and the next  right onto University. Go over the overpass and continue straight into the Marina. Follow the directions for parking below.

Parking: After entering the Marina, you will come to an intersection with a stop sign where you must turn either left or right. Come to a stop, and veer to the left Continue down University to the waterfront. at the stop sign, turn right and drive to the last parking lot. 

Parking is free for day use (except for the 4th of July and the 3rd weekend in July for the Kite Festival).

Parking availability is limited during special events such as the Bay Festival and 4th of July. Carpooling and using public transportation are encouraged. The Bay Trail and pedestrian overpass make bike riding easy.


Public Transportation

Take BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)

Richmond-bound train to Downtown Berkeley Station. (For information on the BART schedule, please go to Riding BART )

Exit the BART station then

Take Bus 51B (Destination: Berkeley Marina)

Whose bus stop in Downtown Berkeley is located on Shattuck Avenue at Center. Take a stroll eastward to Shorebird Park after getting off the bus at its destination.
